Select Work Samples - Millstone Creek Park

Millstone Creek Park is only minutes away from historic Downtown Westerville and considered the cities’ jewel. The City of Westerville had come to James Burkart Associates to design and lead consult for this new park. The park design included two soccer fields, 100 car parking lot, restroom/building, and playground. Other park amenities include wetlands area with a rustic gazebo overlook & nature walk that reconnects children with nature, basketball court, and bike path that connects with the existing city bike way system.

My task for the project was to work with the client throughout the design stages of the project including walking through planning & zoning and presenting the project to the community. Then, put together the schematic, design development, construction documents including specifications. Finally, I helped with awarding the project and project observation.
