The City of Columbus was faced with a declining building for the Child and Family Service building. With the roof leaking, a outdated patio, an overgrown landscape, and an entrance with no identity, Davis/Wince Architecture came to James Burkart Associates to help restore this building and its exterior.
I was asked to design a patio with stamped concrete, seat walls, screen walls, landscape beds that includes an irrigation system. The existing exterior marble tile was in terrible shape. With budget in mind, I suggested that we try and salvage what we could of the tile and replace the deteriorated tile. This went over well and saved the owner thousands on construction cost.
